Getting a Realdoll to hold anything is a challenge. When they are new and all the joints are stiff, it is relatively easy. However, the wrists' movement in the up-down plane seems always to be the first joint to loosen. (The elbows remain extremely stiff for a long time, as does the wrists' rotation.)

Even the fingers, which are strong and stiff, can be posed in these newer dolls (2006).
