I powdered her face very gently with corn starch powder (Johnson's Baby Powder here in the UK—no other brand I have tried will do) and I applied lipstick and a touch of red powder to her cheeks. (No, I applied the lipstick to her lips...) Her face is painted at the factory, but the shading is very subtle.
Many doll owners reccommend never powdering the faces of high-end silicone rubber dolls because even the finest powder is somewhat abrasive.
